A warm, adventurous Scandinavian family of five is seeking a live-in traveling governess and family educator for a two-year chapter based in Albany, Bahamas, with extensive international travel. You will lead the homeschool education and daily care of their three children, aged 8, 5 and 3, one of whom is neurodivergent.
This is a full-time, live-in role with working hours of approximately Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The role combines teaching, childcare, travel, outdoor adventure and cultural exploration.
The Role
- Live-in, full-time; working hours approx. Mon–Fri, 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
- Design and deliver a homeschool curriculum for three children (8, 5, 3)
- Support a neurodivergent child with patience and confidence-building
- Prepare healthy meals; drive to activities, sports and outings
- Supervise swimming and beach activities with a focus on water safety
- Travel internationally with the family — Bahamas, Europe and beyond

Requirements
- Qualified primary or early-childhood teacher, or experienced governess
- Fluent English; conversational or fluent French preferred
- Excellent swimmer, confident supervising children around water
- Safe, confident driver with a clean driving record
- Experienced working with neurodivergent children (autism or related)
- Calm, patient, emotionally intelligent, organised and active
- Comfortable travelling internationally for extended periods
Salary: Competitive salary based on experience, plus luxury oceanfront accommodation and all travel expenses covered.
