The Family

Four children — ages 10, 9, and 5-year-old twins. Two nannies working as a team, each caring for two children. This is not a rota position — both nannies work together in a fully staffed household (house manager, housekeeper, private chef).

The Schedule

5 days on / 2 days always off — 12 hours per day, 60 hours per week.

The Package

💰 $110,000 – $120,000 / year

You Must Have

  • ◆ Green card or full US working rights (mandatory)
  • ◆ Fluent French speaker
  • ◆ 3+ years in a private or UHNW household
  • ◆ Valid driver's licence, passport & clean background check
  • ◆ Physically active — swimming, running, keeping up with energetic kids
  • ◆ Excellent references from private families
  • ◆ Discreet, warm, professional — NDA required

A Plus If You Have

  • ★ Experience with twins or multiples
  • ★ Teaching or child psychology background
  • ★ Montessori, Waldorf or structured education experience

Live-In Nanny

Upper East Side, New York City

Lumiere sought an exceptional live-in nanny for a warm, well-travelled family based on the Upper East Side. Two children (ages 5 and 3).

The Role

Full-time, live-in position with a beautiful private suite. Sole charge of the children during working hours — school runs, extracurriculars, playdates, enrichment, and light meal preparation. Travel with the family (Hamptons, Aspen, Europe). Monday to Friday with occasional weekend flexibility.

The Package

💰 $90,000 – $120,000 / year
🏠 Private live-in accommodation (bedroom, bathroom, sitting area)
✅ Paid holidays, PTO & health insurance contribution
✈️ Annual travel with the family, all expenses covered

Requirements

  • ◆5+ years of professional nanny experience with verifiable references
  • ◆Experience in high-profile or UHNW households preferred
  • ◆Fluent English; French, Spanish, or Mandarin a plus
  • ◆Valid driver's licence, first aid & CPR certified
  • ◆Warm, proactive, emotionally intelligent

Lumiere sought a refined, educated governess-nanny for a lovely international family based in Kensington. Two children (ages 4 and 6) — combining hands-on childcare with structured learning and enrichment.

The Role

Full-time, live-in position with a private en-suite room. Planning age-appropriate educational activities, reading programmes, and creative play. Supporting bilingual development (English and French). School runs, extracurriculars, cultural outings. Travel with the family (South of France, Swiss Alps, Caribbean). Monday to Friday, every weekend off.

The Package

💰 £65,000 – £85,000 net / year
🏠 Private live-in accommodation in Kensington
✅ 5 weeks paid holiday & annual bonus
✈️ All travel expenses covered during family trips

Requirements

  • ◆5+ years of professional nanny or governess experience
  • ◆University degree or relevant qualification (Norland, Montessori, CACHE Level 5 or equivalent)
  • ◆Fluent English; French is a plus
  • ◆Experience in UHNW or high-profile households a strong advantage
  • ◆Paediatric first aid certified, clean driving licence
  • ◆Elegant, discreet, warm — passionate about child development
