Monaco households expect placements that are properly declared under Monégasque or French employment rules and culturally fluent for a Principality that operates in English, French, Russian and Italian.
Every candidate provides a current bulletin n°3 (French) or equivalent Monégasque criminal record extract. Lumière re-verifies references with previous private-household employers.
Lumière places nannies under declared employment — URSSAF for France-resident contracts, CCSS for Monaco-resident contracts. Social contributions and taxes paid in the placement jurisdiction.
All French-side placements follow Convention Collective Nationale 3239 (employé familial), governing working hours, paid leave, overtime and notice. Lumière handles the boilerplate.
Current PSC1 (Prévention et Secours Civiques niveau 1) or equivalent paediatric first aid certification.
Language fluency is interview-verified, not self-reported. Most Monaco placements are EN+FR or EN+FR+RU; we also place IT, ES, DE and ZH speakers.
Two prior private-household references minimum, contactable. Many candidates have signed NDAs with previous employers — Lumière respects this.
